O Earth, you are so fair and green, With mountains high and valleys deep, You hold the oceans in your ken, And all that lives within your keep.
You are the giver of all life, The source of all our sustenance, You provide us with our air to breathe, And water to quench our thirst.
You are the home of all our kind, From the smallest insect to the largest whale, We all depend on you to survive, So please take care of us, O Earth.
We have been careless in the past, We have polluted your air and water, We have cut down your forests and destroyed your home, and We have not been good stewards of your gift.
But we can change, we can do better, We can learn to live in harmony with you, We can protect you from harm, And we can make you a better place for all.
So please, O Earth, forgive us, We will try to be better, We will be the stewards you deserve, And we will cherish you always.
